We’re delighted that you are using these service resources today & worshipping God with us in this way. May you be truly blessed!
Given the very recent announcement from our Prime Minister, we will be postponing the planned fortnightly actual services in our church sanctuary in the meantime & will be continuing with these emailed virtual services on a weekly basis. We pray that the pandemic will subside to permit our national life & our personal lives to return to normality & to allow our church services to resume. We especially think today of those who have been admitted to hospital with the virus, praying for their recovery & for timely help for their loved ones.
Opening Scripture Verses: Revelation 19 vs1&6 and 11v15
‘‘Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God’
‘Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns’
‘The Kingdom of the world has become the Kingdom of our Lord and of His Messiah, And He will reign for ever and ever’’
Hymn: 'Hallelujah! Sing to Jesus'
Opening Prayer including The Lord's Prayer
Glory to You, O God, Creator and Father, for the universe in which we live,
and for men and women made in Your own image.
Glory to You, O Christ,
who took a human body
and redeemed our fallen nature.
Glory to You, O Holy Spirit,
who made our bodies
the temple of Your presence.
Glory to Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
whose will it is that we should be made whole in body, mind and spirit.
Glory to God to all eternity.
(By George Appleton)
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be Your name,
Your kingdom come,
Your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power,
and the glory are Yours
now and for ever.
Young People's Slot: (by Anne)
Today, in the reading of Psalm 77, the writer remembers how God controlled the Red Sea and brought the people of Israel across to safety. The following video clip below, from the film ‘The Prince of Egypt’, vividly portrays that tremendous event.

A Prayer Of Disappointment And Fresh Hope
(from ‘Prayers for good times and grim’ by Martin Manser)
Lord, I feel You have let me down.
I thought You promised me great things but they've not worked out. I prayed, but nothing seemed to happen. It's a terrible thing to say or even think but I feel You've betrayed me. I thought I'd fulfilled my part but You've not 'come up with the goods'; I don't think You've delivered Your side of the bargain. You've not answered my prayers.
I responded to Your Word & submitted to Your will, but what did I get in return? Though Lord, I sense You are teaching me new things – even deeper, wider things. You want me to move beyond my hurt and anger, to turn away from my self-pity, and turn back to You.
Lord, restore me, save me, give me a fresh vision of Yourself that is immeasurably wider than the little circle I've drawn around myself.
Give me grace to accept what has happened and to learn from it. Thank you that Your grace is sufficient for all my needs.
Lord, I do want to serve You again, to live for You, to be strong for You.
Please come and save me in Christ's Name.

Bible Reading: Psalm 77
For the director of music. For Jeduthun. Of Asaph. A psalm.
I cried out to God for help; I cried out to God to hear me.
When I was in distress, I sought the Lord; at night I stretched out untiring hands, and I would not be comforted.
I remembered You, God, and I groaned; I meditated, and my spirit grew faint.
You kept my eyes from closing; I was too troubled to speak.
I thought about the former days, the years of long ago;
I remembered my songs in the night. My heart meditated and my spirit asked:
“Will the Lord reject forever? Will He never show His favour again?
Has His unfailing love vanished forever? Has His promise failed for all time?
Has God forgotten to be merciful? Has He in anger withheld his compassion?”
Then I thought, “To this I will appeal: The years when the Most High stretched out his right hand.
I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember Your miracles of long ago.
I will consider all Your works and meditate on all Your mighty deeds.”
Your ways, God, are holy. What god is as great as our God?
You are the God who performs miracles; You display Your power among the peoples.
With Your mighty arm you redeemed Your people, the descendants of Jacob and Joseph.
The waters saw You, God, the waters saw You and writhed; the very depths were convulsed.
The clouds poured down water, the heavens resounded with thunder; Your arrows flashed back and forth.
Your thunder was heard in the whirlwind, Your lightning lit up the world; the earth trembled and quaked.
Your path led through the sea, Your way through the mighty waters, though Your footprints were not seen.
You led Your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
