Introit: 'I was glad'

We continue the wedding theme today and here is an excerpt from a royal wedding as we begin:

Welcome and Prayer

Opening Bible Reading: Psalm 122 vs1-5

A song of ascents by David.

I rejoiced to hear them say,
“Let’s go to the house of the Lord!”
Jerusalem, we are standing inside your gates.
Jerusalem, what a strong and beautiful city you are!
Every tribe of the Lord obeys Him
and comes to you to praise His name.
David’s royal throne is here where justice rules.

Hymn: 'Praise to the Lord, the Almighty'

Young People's Slot: (by Anne)

Young People's Video: 'The Girl Who Became Queen’

Song: 'Your love is amazing'

First Reading Psalm 45 - with an African slant

Song: 'All heaven declares'

Second Reading Revelation 19 vs7-9 and 21 vs1-5

Let us rejoice and be glad and give Him glory!
For the Wedding of the Lamb has come,
and His bride has made herself ready.
Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear.”
(Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of God’s holy people.)
Then the angel said to me,
“Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!”
And he added, “These are the true words of God.”
Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth, ”for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away,
and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God,
prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying,
“Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and He will dwell with them. They will be His people,
and God Himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes.
There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!”
Then He said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”

To Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb
